My Files - Privacy Policy

Thank you for using My Files ("App"), an application created by Michal Bukáček for Android devices. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

Information Used to Provide the App

It does not require registration or account creation. The App accesses files and folders needed for the operations you request. When you use SMB, SFTP or FTP, files and connection information are exchanged with the server you choose. These user-directed transfers are separate from the analytics and advertising described below.

The developer does not operate a separate registration or user-profile database for this App. This does not mean that the App transmits no data: it uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Google AdMob as described below. If you contact the developer by email, your email address and the information you provide are processed to answer your request.

Google Analytics for Firebase

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how its features are used and to improve the application. Depending on the SDK version, configuration and privacy settings, processing can include app usage events, session information, app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, and advertising identifiers where available and enabled. General location information may be derived from network information. Analytics reports help the developer understand usage patterns; the underlying data should not be assumed to be anonymous merely because reports contain aggregated statistics.

Google AdMob Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically processes technical information that can include IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, interactions with advertisements and the app, and diagnostic information such as crash and performance data. IP addresses may be used to estimate general location. These data support advertising delivery and measurement, fraud prevention, security and diagnostics. Personalization and the identifiers used depend on the applicable configuration, privacy choices and device settings.

Google processes information under its applicable service terms and privacy policies. Processing may take place outside your country, subject to the safeguards described by Google.

Permissions and Your Choices

You can review and revoke permissions in Android settings. Revoking a permission may prevent a related feature from working. You can also review advertising privacy controls available on your device and in your Google account. Where an in-app privacy or consent control is provided, use it to manage the choices it covers. Changing advertising settings does not necessarily stop analytics, non-personalized advertising or all technical processing.

You can stop using or uninstall the App to stop further processing by that installation. Uninstalling does not automatically delete information already processed by Google or files you have copied to another location.

Data Retention and Deletion

Information processed through Google Analytics and AdMob is retained according to the service configuration and applicable Google policies. Files and backups created or transferred at your request remain in their chosen locations until you or the relevant storage service remove them. Email correspondence is kept as needed to handle your request and any related obligations.

For questions about your data or a request for access, correction or deletion, contact michal@bukacek.cz. Describe the relevant app and request without sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. Requests concerning service-provider data will be handled using the options available through the relevant service. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, obtain portable data or complain to a data-protection authority. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Website Analytics and Security

This website uses Google Analytics to measure visits and page usage. It may process browser and device information, usage events and cookie or similar identifiers. Hosting services may process technical access logs such as IP addresses, request times and requested pages. Website processing is separate from the App’s local functions.

Google’s SDK documentation describes encryption of collected data in transit. The security of connections to storage servers you select depends on the protocol and server configuration; plain FTP does not provide the same protection as an encrypted connection. No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page. You are encouraged to review this page periodically to stay informed about how privacy is handled.
